Kieron Moran

Kieron Moran is a chef, entrepreneur and co-founder of Moran’s Mega Jam, which he runs with his wife Claire from Ballinagh, Co. Cavan. Both trained in catering at DIT Cathal Brugha Street, and Kieron spent decades working in hotels and restaurants across Ireland before turning his experience and passion for fresh, homemade food into the business that became Moran’s Mega Jam.

The company grew from Moran’s Homestore, established in 2010, and became Moran’s Mega Jam Ltd in 2012. Its range includes handmade jams, chutneys, relishes, marmalades, pestos and sauces, all produced using fresh ingredients with a strong emphasis on local sourcing and traditional preparation methods.

Kieron and Claire have continued to expand and innovate the range, including products such as their garlic mayonnaise, which was selected as a winner of the Grow with Aldi programme in 2024. Today, Moran’s Mega Jam products are sold through artisan retailers, craft butchers and supermarkets around Ireland, while the business remains rooted in the same philosophy of great ingredients, strong flavours and food made properly.
