About A Bit on the Side
Based in Oldcastle, Co. Meath, A Bit on the Side was founded by Hilary McGrath, inspired by the jalapeño jellies she discovered while living in Canada and a determination to bring something different to the Irish food scene.
Today, the range includes award-winning Red and Green Jalapeño Jellies alongside Port & Balsamic and Basil Jelly, as well as a growing selection of salsa and chilli dips. The products are designed to be wonderfully versatile – served with cheese and charcuterie, used as a glaze or marinade, added to sandwiches and burgers, or simply enjoyed as a dip.
With no artificial preservatives, colours or flavour enhancers, A Bit on the Side is all about natural ingredients, bold flavours and giving familiar dishes an unexpected twist.
