About Flavour Safari
Based in Mountmellick, Co. Laois, Flavour Safari is the award-winning sauce range created by Michael Onalimi and The Jungle Food Company.
Inspired by Michael’s childhood in Lagos, Nigeria, where he grew up surrounded by herbs, spices and fresh produce, Flavour Safari brings together the flavours of Africa with quality Irish ingredients. The result is a distinctive range of sauces and condiments, from mild tomato and herb combinations to richer, spicier flavours with an extra kick.
The sauces are produced in small batches using fresh vegetables sourced from local suppliers and are designed to be wonderfully versatile. They can be enjoyed hot or cold and used with pasta, pizza, sandwiches, meat, vegetables or simply as a dip.
Visitors to the Strokestown Show Food Fair can look forward to discovering a colourful fusion of Irish ingredients and African flavour from one of the Midlands’ most distinctive artisan food producers.
